Well he had more than 30 seconds lead to DC at one point and he was behing NH and PDR - this was before the two of them pitted - yes - at this time he could have pitted and gone for Dry - Slick ! he would have finished 2nd since NH and PDR pitted - and any way come in front of DC.

Definitely! he would have made up the time again.. I mean, he was losing about five seconds a lap to the the others so he could have made it up in just a few laps!
On the other hand, he's going to get sooo much flack for it. Why? I've heard so many "cheating / greedy" comments already. Remember Nurburg last year when Kimi didn't pit for a new tyre when it was flat-spotted and the vibrations caused it to com off? Why didn't he get the same comments?? Annoying!!!!

I don't understand why they didn't change his tyres... even if they were worried that he would lose his podium, he would have still finished with points and lessened Alonso's championship lead. Renault gifted him with an opportunity of a magnitude he'll probably never see again and I think he wasted it!!

Kayt... about your Kimi response - couldn't change tyres last year!!
