I use hypnosis and acupuncture when working with people. I have found that although both work well with smoking, hypnosis is very good for helping you access the part of the mind that will allow you to overcome the habitual thought patterns of smoking where acupuncture appears to be more useful for the physical process of withdrawal. It may be best to use a combination of both. As for the person that wrote about acupuncture piercing the wrong nerve, they unfortunately know nothing about acupuncture. You do not pierce nerves in acupuncture. So please don't listen to the myth makers who answer nonsensically just to get their 1 point.

I had acupuncture it worked instantly.
I had been a smoker for 35 years, it was one of the best things I have ever done, it was £80 back in 2001, best money I have ever spent. I have not smoked one cigarette since.
Go to a Chinese doctor.

I think hypnosis works - I didn't believe in it before, but my sister paid £300 for one session and did tnot ouch a cigarette afterwards. She says she had no withdrawal symptoms at all. Although this is expensive, this particular person offered a life time guarantee.
As somebody else has already said, you do need to really want to give it up, though.
I personally do not beleive in acupuncture, but must admit I haven't tried it.

Hope this helps:>)

I would prefer Hypnotism because you can get acupuncture and sometimes they can price the wrong nerve and screw you up.

I agree with Hunny -Allen Carr's Easy way to stop Smoking is the biz and it's only £8.99. It works, its a good read and it makes quitting fun!! Get the willpower, get the book and get going and you'll soon be an ex smoker. Good Luck

Had hypnosis once. didn't work for me. wouldn't try the other as I'm a chicken. all i know is i smoked for 20 years, tried to stop 5 times before doing it for good. you have to do it for YOU and not because other people want you to. Good luck

As spirit of the cat indicated, either system will only reinforce a genuine desire to quit. Simply knowing you should quit is not enough motivation.
