in America is it better for a straight woman to get it in her left or right nostril ?

There really isn't a difference in America. I've seen all sorts of piercings here.
I don't know what your ethnicity is, but in India and the Middle East, most women pierce their left nostril.

It totally doesn't matter at all. But I have noticed a lot of women usually get it in there right nostril.

in india -northern india specially,woman gets her left nostril pierced

If you are not ethnically Indian - that's east of Europe and west of Malaya, then it's probably better not to have it done. Nose piercing's fine, but you have to have the right shaped nose!

i would say neither...i do not think it looks good to my opinion at all.....but i guess we all have differents of opinions...but really i have known people that have did this and have took them out...so consider this before you do it..
