There would be no safe place to hide from the fall-out in the atmospere , so the safest place to go would be underground .Eventually the fall-out would reach even antarctica .

If world war 3 happened, the sudden imbalance of power around the world would make every country unsafe.
One country would see the acquisition or destruction of another as an important step in securing it's own future.
It's important that the use of nuclear weapons do not spread for this reason among others.
Countries with nuclear arms can not encourage nuclear non-proliferation & at the same time expand their own stockpiles.

Right here in the middle of the good ol' USA. If the bad boys get this far, it's not going to be a world worth living. I was going to pick Madagascar, as it's so isolated, but I figure if I stubbed my toe there, I might have trouble getting medical assistance. I like lemurs and all, but I like good health care better.

I love America, but our politicians are too busy being "politically correct" and not doing a good job of protecting our borders. So until the government closes our borders, with the exceptions to scientist, doctors, etc. But until then I think I would - if I could - to Switzerland.

To be totally safe from a war, we would probably have to go to Antarctica. The next safest would be the USA and I'm already here :-)

You fail to mention, which country would start the war? If it was the States, then I'd go back home to Asia. Or, I'd just stay here and build a base to help all my fellow Asians. Yooo hoooooo!!!!!!

Australia, anywhere away from the east coast, most other countries have no idea how big Australia really is, and wouldnt think of bombing something they dont know exists.

I've always felt safe in US....before and after 9-11. Nothing has changed for me.
