1: Switch off Central Heating
2: Switch off water supply at Mains
3: If the Radiator has individual valves turn them both off, if not you will have to drain the system.
4: With buckets & rags under each side loosen the nuts on the raditor side of the valves and drain the water (Open vent to help flow)
5: Lift off wall when drained.
6: Put new one on wall
7: PTFE tape on joints(Clockwise), then tighten up knuts.
8: Water on, then Central heating.
9: Check for leaks at it fills, as water hits top, close vent valve.
10: Keep an eye on it when hot water is pumped though, and remember to go round and vent all the raditors, as you will have got a bit of air in the system.

Or call the local plumber, aftr calling the bankmanager for a loan.

Good Luck

as paddy says, but ensure you have closed the valves on the supply and return pipes before undoing the nuts and ensure you have a suitable sized bowl to drop the radiator into to empty the water out into.

undo the nuts that connect rad to pipe(should have automatic stop valve for water). Connect up new towel rail! If you need to adjust the pipe you can buy special connectors!
