Because it's called natural selection. If you don't make it, you and your genes die. Only the fittest and the strongest will survive.

Why not put more effort into the things you do? Focus on the task at hand, and don't worry about the other things. Use your imagination to seek out solutions to things that appear too tough, and you'll be proud of yourself when you achieve what it is you attempted.

Otherwise, it's okay to seek help with your problems. Don't forget, there is always someone out there who has experienced similar feelings. Maybe they have a good suggestion. At some point in the future you'll appreciate the tough times, as they build character, and you'll develop a wealth of experience which makes you a competent and self-confident individual.

TANSTAAFL! (There ain't no such thing as a free lunch!) Let it be your mantra.

Because LOVE makes the world go round! (Money makes everything go pear-shaped!)
Money; or at least the people who are interested in exploiting us for money, is pushing everything along. It's called "greed" and it's seemingly unstoppable. We are all slaves to the structures that have been created in the past, and are now past their use-by date.
People are distressed and are not told that they can recover without psychiatry, because psychiatry makes a lot of money out of emotional distress. The psychs. continually invent new "diseases" or "syndromes" to justify selling people "treatments" which are supposed to help, but in fact, mostly do nothing. (Occasionally, despite themseves these shrinks do the right thing, but it is a rare occurence. How many people do you know who are in and out of mental hospitals in an ongoing way. There's even a name for it, "The revolving door syndrome")
We are all conned into living very divided, when living co-operatively would be more supportive and cost less in effort and money. Think of all the children who are abused and could benefit from living in an extended family where they could go to someone else in the family for support. (Yes I know there are whole families who are abusive, but there's usually someone with a grain of sanity who could help.)
Well, as you can see, I'm on my favourite hobby horse here. I guess it's because I feel so strongly about it! :)
I guess you are having a rough time in some way. If life is too tough, find someone to talk to,it really makes a difference, or join a peer counselling group. You can find one at www.rc.org Good luck.
