Many people think that using FETAL stem cells is taking a human life. Therefore, it is immoral to experiment with them. It's as simple as that. What he vetoed was FUNDING the murder of human life.
Other stem cell research is funded as is research on existing fetal stem cell lines. I wish that the media would be more accurate in their reporting. But I guess they never teach 'truth' in J School.
As for those who don't think that a fetus is a human being, your DNA today is exactly the same as the day that you were conceived. If you're human today, then you were human then as well.
Here are some sources about experimenting on "lesser" humans. Read them and then tell me that FETAL stem cell research is moral.

Because he's an idiot. He thinks that that kills babies. He and others who oppose it think that these embryos are potential human beings, but what they can't seem to comprehend is that these embryos are NEVER going to become humans. They are simply going to be thrown in the trash. They are not talking about creating embryos specifically for research. None of these embryos were ever going to become a human being.

Yeah... the way it was written, the bill lacked the necessary controls.
Keep in mind... He's not killing RESEARCH... he's killing FEDERAL FUNDS to be used for research.
Private industry (who tends to do this stuff better anyway) is still free to do what they like.

Why is government funding needed for something that does not work? If it actually produced even one cure then I would say go for it but it does not so why support it.

His "god" says it's wrong because it's not natural, there are no controls over it and it could lead to innocent babies dying. Funny how his "god" doesn't seem to be concerned about his support of killing innocent babies and children in Iraq and supporting the same killing in Lebanon.
