My neighbour over the road had a wasps nest in his garden and he said he will only have it removed if anyone gets stung, we had it removed yesterday while he was out and now he will be stung with the bill, there are lots of kids round here who will either mess about with the nest and end up getting seriously hurt or kids that would have got stung through our neighbours selfishness, wasps are horrible and just sting for the hell of it, so glad we have got rid of them cause I so hate wasps.

Not until yesterday, when one was plaguing me incessantly as I was trying to drink a diet coke, causing me to spill it all down my white top. Wasps are the most irritating things on this earth I think, and the temptation to swat them with the nearest heavy object is almost irresistable at times.
But no, not many, to tell the truth! Thank goodness....

Strange that, yes, but only one or two.
Do they migrate ?
They may have been blown off course by the strong winds we had earlier in the year. The winds were westerly and I am in the UK. I am guessing they fly up from Africa like the swallows, so maybe Spain and France got all of our `jaspers` this year.
Oh...maybe The Nether regions too.
Or Belgium.

I'm in south west Cumbria - and I've seen VERY few wasps. There are two that seem to be playing catch around my garden gate; they've been at it for weeks. Apart from them, not really seen any.

Hundreds! There seem to be more round our house than we've seen in the last 10 years.
Do you want me to box some up and send them to you?

Saw one yesterday, although that was in a country pub.
I live in a city so I haven't seen any here, a few bees though.

Yes. Late summer is when they become more visible, due to the ripening of the fruit! If you have not seen any yet, rest assured, you will do, very soon! (UK)
