first of all you have to compress the file
if it is audio file in wav format ,just convert it into mp3 format using audio converters.
if it is a data file ,just zip that file and then write it on the cd.
i think this will solve your problem.

Use WinACE or WinRAR to compress the file. WinZip sucks. It can't compress as well as WinRAR and WinAce. You can also use UHARC. And I also suggest that you get yourself a 1GB USB Flash Drive. They are very cheap these days and very useful.
