The U.N never solved a single world crises, and it fails to achieve its goals or they either follow the states that sponsor and finance them. Remember, Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, Iraq, Israel-Palestinian conflicts, and TODAY their so-called peacekeepers rape locals through out Uganda, and Congo. Somalis killed more U.N peace keeping troops more than any country, and I believe they deserved it.

with all ths complaining, you didn't mention the fact that the security coucil never once kept anything secure.....NO, the UN does nothing for the world, in general, you were a bit definite, but your general opinion is right on the mark

If your saying they are useless, your wrong.
if your saying they have never solved anything, your wrong...Cuban Missle crisis comes to mind.
but its your right to be angry about the failures.
i would rather have the U.N and also greater U.S funding and involvment.
what you fail to grasp is that in the security council there are five permanent members who have the veto power.........why do you think that Israel can defy the U.N overy and over.
because of the US securrity council veto.

but we can not ignore the other UN agency activities ,
me as a staff of UNHCR am a vitness of evryday assistant of abovemention agency to the all refugees around the world
