I'm trying to use an image with a size of 605 and need it to be less than 400. How can I reduce it?

If you don't have photoshop, picassa2 is a free photo program. There is a version for Win98 and XP.

From picassa2 you can email via hotmail, gmail or picassa2 mail. (you may have to sign up if you don't have one of these email accounts - easy)

select the picture you want to send and email it to yourself as a test. It reduces the size when sending. It should reduce it a third.

open the picture in photoshop, and save it again as JPEG, and select the quality level according to what size you want the picture to be.

Open it with photoshop and save as jpg of gif.
