It's a war term. If an army "takes no prisoners" they kill everyone, even if they surender. Its a way of saying someone is out to win at all costs, or very determined to win.

It's a wartime saying.

In a military advance, they would either capture surviving opposing forces and imprison them, or take no prisoners (kill them all in the advance). This decision would have been taken if the unit did not have the resources to keep prisoners.

I'm not sure where it first was said but it refers to a fighting group taking no mercy. Taking no prisoners means you will show no mercy in whatever you are saying or doing.

it juz means i'm not a prison warden and it originated from a guy who was sick of pple asking him if he was a prison warden.

It means to be merciless/ruthless. derives from war where everyone is killed without given a chance to surrender

its just ..take no prisoners ..its a military term it means kill all . we don't have time to take prisoners
