how do you work out what grade you would be in, in america if your in 4th year in the uk????

ok i was just over in the uk and we figured it out. its one number below. so year 4 is 3rd grade, year 11 is 10th grade etc. and over in the us kindergarten -5th grade (approx. ages 5-11) is elementary school, 6-8th grade is middle school (approx. ages 11-14) and 9-12th grade is highschool (approx ages 14-18) and then college/university. hope i helped

Youa are already educated well beyond normal american "standards". Even University education is ignorant in the states so I think you have a problem and may have to attend special school if moving to USA.
