What do you say about a "dude" who comes to you with a pleasant face and asks you if you have a credit card.

Then he takes you shopping and buys you everything, even things you dont' need, all on your credit card.

All the while he smiles, squints, and makes stupid speeches and feeds you BS, but watch that credit card.

Debts keep mounting for things you don't need.

One day somebody is going to ask you to pay some of this debt down.

When that day comes, the "dude" will be long gone.

That means midwesterners spend their time praying on their knees instead of coming to Yahoo... No, wait, I happen to know some very nice people who voted Bush but it must be because they're both wrong and wealthy. I also know very nice people who went to demonstrations against Bush and I don't think they're here either. What a mystery!

EDIT: Personally, looking from the outside, I think he's a bit dangerous (or the people that surround him): you just have to look at the mess the world is in today and how worse it can theoretically get. One thing I know I can blame him for is the unstoppable rise in the prices of oil (probably less noticed in the US, just guessing) and how that contributes to inflation and poorer standards of living everywhere where people haven't (and couldn't) vote for Bush. I'm not sure how much better Kerry would have been...

I voted for him. The guy isn't perfect but American politics have really declined in the past decade. It's the lesser of two evils, I just so happen to believe more in a conservative approach in dealing with issues here in the states. We'll just have to see who the next clowns we have to choose from next election. Oh it didn't help me when CBS broke that fake story about Bush right before the election. Oh well, I just see that the elected are only out for themselves....the system we have should be in some way overhauled. They should get rid of the lifers in congress and the obstructionists on both sides of the Ilse. Sorry if I'm rambling but the Coronas did me well!

George Bush has his good points and his bad, just like every other president. I just think he wasn't the right choice for this period of American history. Maybe 20 years ago he would have been okay. Oh wait that was his father.

He got elected because unfortunately in this country, we don't have a true democracy, the electoral system, deletes the voice of the people.

He didn't the first time. Remember the hanging chads? The second time he had caused a war in Iraq, a country with no established link to Al Qaeda, and scared everybody into voting Republican. Thankfully your (I assume you're American) system of government only allows for two terms, and hopefully Hillary Clinton will stand against whatever evil oil baron the Bushes and their friends put up next.

Lol. Same with Blair. OK each got elected on a minority of the total electorate, but if all the moaning minnies had got off their butts, registered and voted, we might have had a different outcome.

it is a truism that a country gets a government it (collectively) deserves. All that jingoism in the US resulted in Bush getting two terms and creating instability.

Well try reading Fooled Again by Mark Crispen Miller. It goes into depth explaining how George W. Bush stole the 2004 election, he sites his sources and everything. That should answer your question.

He cheated.
The TV guys were giving results as they were counted & Al Gore had most votes. Florida's results came in & all of a sudden (even though Gore had more votes) Bush was announced as the winner.
The reason for this is that although Gore had more votes overall, Bush had more once all the minorities he did not like were discounted.
It just proved that Al Gore was the bigger man because he smiled, congratulated Bush & accepted it.

He got elected through lies and trickery. The truth is now evident and he is hated by most of the people that voted for him. Some people don't care who runs and just vote for their party, a very stupid thing to do. Wait until the next election, you'll see what lies they come up with then. Who ever runs against the party will have lies told about them.
Wow, party, doesn't that sound like SS troops?
Oh yes, the fact that the democrats can't come up with one good man has something to do with it too.

you're only getting your self right into a pissing contest. Time to allow go of the gangster mentality. both events are operating as a crew to damage the country. Whom ever comes after BHO, will proceed the ball rolling, equivalent to Bush persisted Clinton's stride. give up being a lemming, and attempt to have an unique idea. there is the position the precedence is, no one thinks for themselves any better.
