Think about it, he gives them unconditional support and allows them to do whatever they want including unilateral military action. Noteworthy, that GWB has not done anything to sucure peace for Israel. It appears to me that GWB is letting the noose be wrapped around Isreals neck intentionally. Perhaps he is not such a necon as he may appear but more satire than anything to let Isreal fall to its knees.

You make a very fair point. Allowing for the fact that we know that GWB is not capable of joined up thinking, Israel as a State will exist in 2000 years from today. It is in their interest to co-exist peacefully with their neighbours. Unless there is something we don't know, like the West intend to Nuke the world, and go and live in one of these space stations, the Arab peoples are never going to forget this unfairness. The world and political alliances evolve, what is to say the President five times down the road is going to be as sympathetic to Israel? I feel sorry for the Israeli people, because they have this political bimbo now as Prime Minister and I think he has been used. Sharon, could not be used in the same way. God help Israel, because a friend helps and supports NOT make you a hostage to fortune.
