Because of corrupt political and religious leaders who ignore the welfare of its citizens/followers and only care about their own crooked goals.
They manipulate those who can be manipulated to serve their own desires.

The keyword is "forced".
Your use of "we" may or may not be intended to be all encompassing, to include all nations and religions.
When one looks at nations around the world, only a few still cling to the notion that their religion is the only correct religion and that every human must be converted to their beliefs.
"By any means necessary."
This will never happen.
Over the centuries, millions of people have died in wars, whether trying to convert others, or resisting.
No nation, no religion, has ever converted another nation or peoples by war.
Religion or no religion, must be, and must remain a choice by every individual.
Rulers of nations who attempt to rule by religion, are trying to use religion as power in order to further their own ambitions. If successful, religious freedom is the first freedom that is taken away. All others follow.
Can one not see that this the fundamental struggle that's being witnessed in Iraq, among religious factions? Governments, using religious control equals total rule.
This was done for centuries throughout the world, and in all cases, either failed and/or created war, in the name of religion.
And the beat goes on!

We are not FORCED to kill others, people CHOOSE to kill other/s and i think it has to do with power. Many men on this earth think that if they kill somebody, they feel it's a real ego trip. Ask yourselves this question? How many women start and participate in wars. Women want peace not war, you guys! Take a leaf from our book and we will live in a more peaceful world. WOMEN FOR PEACE!!

Because we consider people as OTHERS.
We automatically look for differences, when if fact we are all the same.
The human race as a whole has been committing suicide at least since the begining of written history.
Hopefully we will learn something before we wipe ourselves out.

Mostly it is the human urge to be in control. We use religion, no matter which one muslim, christian or jews etc, to justify our actions. Most religions actually condemn killing, so when a person takes a life in the name of their religion they are actually sinning against their own god!!!
