Lots of things. My father's death, which was such a shock. The day I married my wife. The day we were told she had cancer. The day we were told (seven years later) she was all clear. The day I graduated. The first time I got on a plane. Watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon as a child. So many things, really.

So many things! But I guess you either want to hear something profound or something funny - I'll go for the funny. I had a wonderful boarder collie cross that was really well behaved most of the time. So, I was able to leave the front door open in the summer and he would just lay on the door step enjoying the company of passing people and the sun. I used to just leave all of the dirty washing in front of the washing machine - didn't use the laundry basket.
One Sunday he grabbed a pair of my knickers from the washing pile and ran out into the street with them. I called him back, but to no avail! Did I chase him? The hell I did - he came back about ten minutes later - complete with the pair of knickers. I have no idea what others must have thought - but the neighbours didn't ever mention it! By the way, his name was Frodo Baggins and I will never forget him, either. Sad, I know, but when we had to have him put down at the grand old age of 18 years and 2 months we had a private cremation for him - and I still have his ashes on the windowsill. Just can't bring myself to scattering or burying him.

I have an extremely vivid memory, so I remember most stuff. I remember someone drying me off after my bath on my first birthday. I was humming and sucking my lip.... that has always meant mischief is around the corner. I ran upstairs and out of the house all the way to the corner of my house. Showing off my birthday suit I suppose. It was a blast! I got a red tricycle later that day. Hmm. Let's see what else...a homeless woman threatened to de-tongue me in a very violent way softly between sweetly begging for money while I crossed a bridge over the Chicago river on my way to work one morning. I was so stunned. She was a homeless woman I'd seen 3 times, in different neighborhoods, like a recurrent street urchin. Okay. That is all for now.

I walked into a rape situation where a man had tied 2 women up.My husband was with me and luckily the rapist who incidentally had a knife, fled. My husband is a pretty athletic type,I think the sight of him scared the bloke really. We managed to prevent one of the women from experiencing the pain that her friend had been through. He was caught and jailed but I shall never forget it as it was very frightening at the time.

There are lots of things that have that heading. I guess the one that I remember the most is when my dog got out of my house and was hit by a car. I will forever hear his yelp for the rest of my life. As a result, my dogs now are never allowed out of the yard unless they are going to the vet. They are all fixed so they don't want to wander and there is not way for them to get out at all. Think it was profound??? It was, and beyond words of how painful it was. Thanks for asking!!!

no, this one is funny and i can not forget it in a hurry!

I was sitting on a couch in the sitting room when i felt my bladder was full! so i got up to go take a piss and just before living the sitting room (about 8 seconds after i got up), i got to the door and i completely forgot where i was going! Seriously!

So i was standing there, for about half a minute, asking myself why i got up and where i was going! so... i couldn't remember and i went back to resume my "sitting".

A few minutes later, i got the urge again, then i remembered.... i had to bust into laughter, laughing at myself! how could i have forgotten!!! but i did, really!

Yes, someone cheated on me. No, I will never forget as I loved this person more than anything. It affects me because I am scared to trust people.
