Last year I was majorly stressed out. The highlight of my day was standing up on the jam packed buss going to or from work. During this period my eyelids would twitch, at first I thought it was kind of funny but then it just became annoying.
I eventually resolved my stressful situation and then my twitching eyelids stopped soon after. I have previously read that they are stress related and that when we are overly stressed some of the signals that are sent from our brain to the rest of our body can get side-tracked which will cause twitching or sleepless nights and so on.
You're not a hypochondriac, it is annoying, if you are under pressure or are stressing about something try to distance yourself from it (or) try to have a laugh with your friends - laughter really helps stress - it sounds so simple but it really does help.
Hope the twitching goes away soon!

Probably not.
One of the main causes of a twitchy eyelid is fatigue. Make sure you are getting 8-9 hours of sleep per night.
If it still keeps twitching a lot, ask your doctor about it.
p.s. the word is "hypochondriac"
