sex just for my husband who was told about this before marriage, but I guess he didn't believe me. My lack of enthusiasm is a turn off for him. I don't think that because I don't want sex he should be deprived. I believe I can handle infidelity. He says it would be disrespectful and he is satisfied to masturbate with porn because of the threat of AIDS. Also he is 47 and I am 64 (I look 47 and am otherwise together).

We want a divorce but can't afford to live apart.

I would like some thoughtful feedback. This is a serious problem. He is a successful musician and not a loser. We have fun but I know he is not happy in a sexless marriage. I have gotten therapy.

I think that if he commits infidelity it will only make you want the divorce more. Subconsciously no woman REALLY wants her man to cheat no matter how crappy the relationship is. You will suffer from jealousy and resentment. I understand what you mean about not wanting sex because I went through that through my twenties. I spent most of it pregnant. I could get pregnant just by having sex once in a month and that's how I had my kids. So of course I didn't feel sexy. I was also sexually violated in my teens and I have never really had the desire to be sexually active. I am trying to work on it now for the sake of our intimacy as we have none. I have had sex for my husband just to make him leave me alone and I know how bad that feels but it will hurt worse if you know he is with somebody else....

Damn lady.......

No man happily be in a sex-less marriage. He's a loser, that is why he married an old lady, and why he would rather masturbate than find some poontang elsewhere.

Give the man what he needs, and stop pretending not to like sex. You are probably just getting yours elsewhere, because your husband is a 47 year old, unattractive loser....That does not know how to work it in the sack.

You're not fooling anyone with this crap.

If you have given the stamp of approval then it should be fine for him to go and get a little bit. You cannot push him though. I cannot see why he would think that it would be disrespectful when you have given this idea your blessing and it has been your idea. I know that I would rather have the real thing especially if both of you would like a divorce and are sticking it out because of the cost of splitting up.

Good Luck

OK if you approve then its really not adultery,it is an "open" marriage. If you both want a divorce then go get one. You can still get a divorce but yet live together. Trust me friends of mine did it and lived together for years. Clear up till the one passed away.

If you feel you can handle him getting it from another woman and he would rather masturbate , your both whacked. If I was him I would be looking not only for sex with someone else, but for a new relationship all together.

Why haven't you gone and gotten yourself help for the sexual abuse? Have you ever thought that if you did that your outlook on sex might change? I have to give credit to your husband, you've got yourself a good one there. If I was you, I would be doing whatever I had to, to help myself, my husband and my relationship...the question is....do you love yourself and him enough to do that?
