Should be atleast brought down to 16.
Atleast when he/she passes his/her high school he/she should have a licence.

There are very few people who drive very good at a young age. But here we should consider everyone. So I don't think that the legal age to get a driver's license should be reduced. In America, the legal age to get a driving license is 16 and now the government is thinking to the increase the legal age for driver's license as 15% of road accidents in the U.S. are caused by drivers in their teens.

What is the driving age in india? I think driving age in the USA should be 18..IF they are working and can pay their own damn insurance
And teens have the highest mortality rates, especially males. Males drive faster and have more accidents that girls (and adults). That is why insurance rates here are so high for males under 25!

OK, I've got some age on me. I have lived for over one half century. Listen as far as ability, pure reaction, teenagers have an advantage! However when it comes to judgment, teenagers have not lived long enough to know about things. Sorry, it is true!

I heard about that 8 years old kid he's driving like a devil. I would give teenagers the license, but only if they drive with one parent at least.
