With my notebook computer I can stream video fine at work using an 11Mbps wireless connection but when I get home the same sites play very choppy and it is a 54Mbps wireless connection. It doesn't make sense to me. Any ideas why ths is or how to fix it? Any help is appreciated.

it has nothing to do with your wireless speed.
If the connection at my house say is 11mbits wireless, but I have 10mbits to the internet, you are gonna be blazing on the net.
If you go home and your wireless connection is 108mbits (or lets say 54) but your internet connection is 384Kbits (over 20X slower than mine) then your stream is going to be not nearly as fast, and will likely be choppy.
Remember, the internet connection itself is the real bottleneck.
Chances are they have a wicked fast internet connection where you work, and pay the big bucks for it. In comparison, your home connection could never hope to keep up to it, even if your wireless connection is 1 gigabit at home and only 11 megabits at work.
Simply put, your work connection can likely stream the full 11 megabits to you and 20 others like you without slowing down, whereas your home connection is very likely not even over 1 megabit to the internet itself.

Check on your computer at home to see what the settings are for your player for the video you're trying to view. If the settings are set for a much higher or much lower speed connection you may see something like this. Also, if you have too many programs running it the background at the same time you are viewing the video those other programs could be hogging your resources. I used to have this problem on my home computer also because the cache, cookies and temporary files needed to be cleared from the browser.

short answer, particular. long answer..... It relies upon on your connection velocity, in case you have a large number of bandwidth (like 8 mbps) you in all likelihood is purely no longer wakeful it. as quickly as you're on dialup, you're screwed.
