It's totally hurts me to see these poor girls starving themselves and makes me wonder is it a mental issue or just trying to fit in to being a walking skeleton. To the girls w/ this disease my heart goes to them. For the models and magazines who are promoting girls to look like a walking skeleton I hope people will stop buying their products. Congrats to Dove for showing the full-figured woman. Marilyn Monroe was size 13 & gorgious!

Well, some of the blame's gotta fall on men for thinking they're so sexy in the first place. I'm sure if people didn't think they were hot, they wouldn't be so skinny. Personally, if I had all their money, you wouldn't be able to keep me out the grocery store and Chik-Fil-A.

Those celebrities you asked about shouldn't buy into the whole Hollywood thing of bone thin being the ideal physique. There are plenty of celebrities who aren't bone thin and they have been very successful. Drew Barrymore, Catherine Zeta Jones, Beyonce, Queen Latifah...to name a few.

Marilyn Monroe, I heard, was told to lose weight. But I can't see how anyone would think that she needed to. Her size was healthy.

I don't know why the modeling world thinks that being bone thin is sexy. I have always thought that Kate Moss looked horrible. Then there are some guys who won't date a girl unless they are bone thin. And they still call the girl fat. That happened to one of my cousins, who can't be more than a size 2. She's always been that way.

What else gets me is that Nutri System commercial, where the girl (a reality star named Zora) said she went from a size 10 to a size 4 on the program. It makes me think that Nutri System is guilty for promoting the bone thin look. I mean, I doubt that the girl in the commercial looked overweight at a size 10. She looked somewhat tall, and if she really is tall, then she would probably look almost too thin at a size 10.

So I agree with you. It's a big problem, and I hope that more people will realize it isn't right to promote that bone thin look.

Haven't you heard??? Paper thin is in! Personally, I agree with you and think that someone needs to shove some burgers and fries down their scrawny little necks... if nothing else just to watch them suffer. :)
