If he's such a good friend to you, then don't go out with that girl. If he isn't , then you don't have to tell him. You know better.

i think go you the girl have a nice time on the way ask questions like what is your fav present? then the night will be done next moring or afternoon call your bestfriend and tell him the information about her and that way he'll find inform about her and had a great time with the girl!

Confront it....Going out and liking someone are 2 different steps.
Step ( 1 ) Liking someone isn't love....its more Hi, nice to see, bye hope to see you again.
Step ( 2 ) Going out with her well thats the end of your friendship with him because you are as straight as you wish to be you are fullfilling his girlfriend's needs and that is you are willing to committ and she excepts that. Also talk it over with his girlfriend to be very sure that you made the right choice instead of yelling and making stupid remarks or even get hit. Talk it out! I trust you know best.
