I have an HP Photosmoart 3210 All-in-one product and its great. Pictures are crystal clear when printing, pages print very very fast. I love the ability to add my SD card from my digital camera directly into one of the printer slots. There is only one slight drawback, if you were to call it that. When you scan, it picks up EVERYTHING, that is to include any bit of dirt you may have on the picture. Other than that, HP makes the best printers and scanners. It is what they do best. (I don't work or HP, but printing - HP, CPU - Dells, CD/DVD players - sony). I highly recommend the HP All in one printer/scanner/copier and it seems you are getting the latest version. Just FYI, the 3210 All In One, works just as fine and it may be cheaper.

It's not bad actually. Good print speed, good resolution (4800dpi just like most other HP printers), same old cartridges, looks nice and is at a good price. It's nice to see HP are back putting USB cables in the box with the printer too, after leaving them out for a short while.

The C4180 is a good multifunction for a family or general use. For high quality photo printing, I would choose the HP 3110 or 3310, or for a very high quality officejet, I would choose the 7410.

I have never had a problem with any of the HP products. I myself have two HP printers.

Insert your favorite media card, and print without a computer. The Photosmart C4180 lets you bypass your computer via its built-in card slots — so after you take pictures with your digital camera, simply remove the media card and then slide the card into the C4180 for instant 4" x 6" pictures! Accepts Secure Digital™, MultiMediaCard™, Memory Stick®, Memory Stick Duo™, CompactFlash® and xD-Picture Card™.
Flip-up 2.4" LCD screen lets you preview and edit right on the machine. Preview your scan, print, or copy job before you use precious paper and ink! The C4180 offers Photo Fix, so you can zoom in, crop, and edit the image, fix red-eye, and more.
Fast printing and copying up to 30 ppm black, 24 ppm color. Enjoy consistent, high-quality output with every project — print speeds up to 30 ppm (pages per minute) in black-and-white, 24 ppm in color! And 4" x 6" photos print out in as fast as 25 seconds, so you can print and share your favorite shots anytime.
Rich scanning with 48-bit color. The C4180 harnesses deep colors and crisp edges for eye-popping output every time. Plus, its 256-shade grayscale ensures proper stratification of your black-and-white documents and graphics.
Make up to 50 copies from 1 original. The C4180 features convenient multicopying plus the ability to reduce the image down to 50% — or enlarge up to 400% — of the original size. Great for making brochures and posters!
Dense print resolution up to 4800 x 1200 dpi optimized. You'll impress yourself with crisp, clear text that's easy to read as well as bright graphics and photos that are enjoyable to view.
3,000-page monthly duty cycle — great for home offices! At up to 3,000 pages per month, this reliable machine can print more than 100 pages per workday without a problem.
Backed by HP's 1-year limited warranty with toll-free tech support.
