Classic animation and book stories about 2 Gauls around the time of Julius Caeser and their adventures in France and other parts of Europe. They all had comic names, Dogmatix (their dog), Cacophonix (The Bard) etc. Asterix was the hero and he took a magic potion to gain strength speed etc. Obelix didn't need to as he fell into the potion as a child.
Catchy music too in the cartoons.

They were Gauls who used to beat up Roman soldiers and eat a lot of pigs. Asterix was a little bloke and Obelix was huge, What about them?
