Isn't it about time this one was put to sleep forever? Diana was killed in an accident. No-one told her to use that particular exit from the hotel. As Fayed owned it she could have stayed there or left by one of the many other exits. No-one told her to use a driver who had been drinking. No-one told her and Fayed not to wear seat belts and no-one told the driver to travel at such a high speed in a car with which he was not familiar. No-one told them to take that route and no-one knew where they were going or at what time. It would have been a very good assassin to have done the deed with all those improbable. Not only that but the driver of the mysterious white Fiat was eventually traced and although he may have slightly scraped the Mercedes earlier the car was not capable of travelling at 115 mph and such a small touch would have been more likely to cause him to crash than Diana's car. The fact is that a drunk driver lost control of a car that was too powerful for him and crashed,. The only survivor, the bodyguard, was wearing his seat belt and survived. If Diana had been wearing hers she would be alive today. This story is continually being kept alive by the popular press trying to sell newspapers with sensationalist stories and Mohammed Fayed trying to cause mischief for the Royal Family because he has continually been refused a British passport due to his dubious past.

I think it was not.
Too many people were worried about her growing popularity and status.
The Royals did not bargain for the Diana they ended up with!
I'm sure they thought Shy Di would sink into the background and wouldn't give them any problems.
She was making the Royal Family look unfavorable in the eyes of their people.
She was trying to get the Royal family to be more concerned about their subjects, more modernized in their thinking.
I just finished reading a book on this subject.
I think they are worried about loosing all the money and royal 'stuff'

An accident it wasn't thats for sure! Why do you think they have been trying to hush it up for so long.
You should have read all the postings on here the other day and saved yourself the 5 points it cost you to post the question. You would have got a lot of insight into peoples views on here.
Thanks for the 2 points though anyway.

No, she knew she was being followed. She had an idea that someone was trying to kill her. It's a cover up. Let's just hope when William becomes King, he will find the answers. It may not come out for a very long time like it did Marilyn Monroe. We know that JFK had something to do with it.
The Queen and Prince Charles are both in on it!

I personaly believe that Di.s death is the biggest coverup of this century. Somewhere in the archives of history the truth will remain hidden...probably for centuries....but certainly during the lifetime of her boys. Charles obvious distress over her death....i believe was guilt..... I.m sure that he knew it was no accident but that THE POWERS THAT BE...had made the decision that she was too much of a threat to the constitution and therefore had to go. I could go on and on about this subject..but would probably bore everyone to tears...!

Pincess Diana's death was caused by a combination of two things.
1. She was not wearing a seat belt....and I read the findings of a study that said that, if she had been wearing a seat belt, she most likely would have survived.
2. She was in a car with a drunk driver.
There are too many variables in the situation for it to have been a plot to kill her.

Accident, I know she was as mad as a box of frogs but who would want to make that sort of effort to bump her off. Al-fayed, is just a rich nutter who has lost his son and needs someone to blame instead of the pissed up french driver that he employed.

Does it matter though, people?
Why worry when there is Coronation St, Big Brother and Ant & Dec on telly.
Don't think too hard, it will only give you a headache.
