Probably the baby will be okay.
Some mothers do large quantities of drugs and their babies come out okay, others do very little and can have sick/damaged babies.
There is no way of knowing what the effect will be, but of course the less drugs used the better chance the baby will be okay.
Get her to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. Using cocaine while pregnant is not "social using" or "experimenting with drugs", she is using addictively. The potential to continue using is very high.
You may have to get child protective services involved and fight for custody if she continues to use drugs.

Tell her to stop now. Even though the baby will most likely have some effect from her doing it. My baby's mother did coke a couple times during early pregnancy and our baby cries a lot and we always seem to be visiting the doctor between 2 and 3 times a month for some problem with the child. Point...don't do ANY drugs if you are pregnant.

Well...I don't want to lie to you, her chances of carrying to full term are much, much lower with the use of cocaine. Now, your baby might very well be fine, and I pray that this is so. The chance of the baby having birth defects is also 5 times more likely according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Sometimes, the baby, once it is born can have a sort of "withdrawal" period. They can be jittery and can seem to cry more. I honestly, and sincerely hope both your girlfriend and the baby are okay.

cocain like a lot of drugs is highly addictive. Ever see a newborn kick a drug habit from moms addiction... it's heartbreaking...take a visit to the nicu in your local hospital and look at all the struggling infants bravely fighting for their lives...take her with you... and see if may be that will make her think twice about drugs. In most states that's considered child abuse and she could be arrested and charged after the baby is born. Consider the life long health problems that could very likely become probable after even limitted exposure to certain street and prescription drugs. Please get help for her and the baby.

That is alot of drug I would make sure she dosent do it again. That first month is one of the three that the baby starts developing and any little thing could hurt it real bad. Any mother that does drugs while pregnant is taking a risk of the child being born addicted to the drug and from what I have seen it is not a pretty sight.

if she's only done it once, the effect on the fetus is minimal. if she continues to use past the first trimester, the risk of miscarriage, and to have a premature birth where the baby is smaller and underweight is greater. but if she stops within the first trimester she reduces the risk of these things. there aren't alot of studies done for them to know what birth defects will occur with prolonged use. determine if your gf has a problem...she may say she's only used once, but the tendency to not tell the whole story is only a small part of the disease of addiction.

Who cares if she did it behind your back? The fact is that she did this to your baby. During the early months of pregnancy, it may increase the risk of miscarriage, it may trigger premature labor, it also may cause an unborn baby to die or to have a stroke, which can result in irreversible brain damage. Report her to Family Services for Child Abuse.

Yep, Cocaine enters the bloodstream of the developing foetus and has the potential to affect a baby's development.

the first 6 weeks of the pregnancy is when the babys organs brain and nervous system form so any drugs or alcohol will affect then development then, if youre lucky, then your baby will be fine, but she pretty stoopid to be doing drugs if shes preggers, not only does she risk herself she risks the babys life and well being and can go to jail!
