why doesn't mtv play music anymore? all i ever see on there are reality shows and summer break.they both suck.

MTV has went away from it's roots and forgot about the music. It is tring to keep up the youth of the audience and forgotten what made it popular in the first place. So death to the first music channel and the birth of the first reality channel. Sad so sad.

the problem is that 12 year olds who shop at Abercrombie and Fitch liked shows like Pimp My Ride and so the producers of MTV made MTV2 which is just another channel for Reality Shows that suck d*ck. Headbanger's Ball is OK. but not much more than that is good. Keep Headbanging. \m/

I know it sucks now, I don't watch it anymore. But even if they played music videos they still would suck because the way they make videos now they too suck. ( always girls in bikinis or something like that!!!) I don't know I guess I personally like videos with a story behind it.

they play music late at nite when everyones sleeping! smart move huh! yea but they music videos from about 2 to probly like 6 or 7. so i guess that way nobody can say that they dont play music!

Music Videos start at 4am EST.. I know - it's kinda sad, it's used to be mostly all music,,, Now it's all reality shows =[

i totally agree with you! i guess you have to have mtv 2 to watch the videos. that sucks! every now and then i watch vh-1... they still have music videos.

because that is what attrcts an audience for them. Just like the learning channel (TLC) now shows pretty much only design shows

I guess because they think that their title "Music" TV doesn't mean that any more. I hate it and refuse to watch it until they return to a more music format.
