I wan't to connect a toggle switch to a radiator fan. I know the power terminal on the toggle switch is + and the ground is - but what is the load terminal connect to ?

The (+) terminal is connected to the "source" of the power, ie., battery.
The (-) terminal is connected to the "ground" as a safety measure.
The (load) terminal is where the power is "going to", where electricity is being used, generally the positive terminal of the device being powered.

This is assuming you are using direct current.
