Both computers are Gateway emachines. One being a T3104 model and the other being a T6426 model. The most important thing is can both be used at the same time on the same DSL line?

Yes with two modems, or a splitter on one modem for a second ethernet cable. (I am not sure if you will have interference.) Or easier, set up a wireless connection using a router, you only need the one modem and the wireless signal will work with any computer that can pick up the signal. I have this set up now. My laptop picks up the wireless signal, and there is not any interference. The only cost is the equipment. No charges from the DSL company. It is not hard to do. Good luck.

easy...
get a router
hook the router to the dsl, then the 2 computers to the router.
your service provider will only "see" the router, so no change in charges. the router will also allow your 2 computers to share files and a printer.

I've got all 4 PCs in my house hooked up to one wireless router which is hooked up to my one cable outlet. It makes life simple and easy.
