Personally, I think the whole idea of the government making rules about marriage is offensive. I say let everyone work that out for themselves.

So much for the legally part.

With more than 20 women, a man who could support them and keep them happy would be amazing. But then, he might not care about keeping them happy, just keeping them. That, I would not condone. But I have no problem with however many people want to be together and consider themselves a marriage.

Robert Heinlein wrote some great stories about group marriages, and inspired me to dream about it ever since I was young. Now that I'm old enough that my own participation would be largely ritual, rather than really sexual, I still think group marriage is a good idea. For one thing, the children cannot be rendered orphans by anything short of a major disaster. And consider the advantages of scale when they go shopping!

Dude i don't know the guy who can handle 20+ wives nagging at him all day long and just imagine the kids!!! holy crap!!! there would be hundreds of em! ohh and lets not forget the PMS, My God! with 20+ wives it would be a given that there would always be at least 1 going through her uhh "time of the month" a never ending peroid... i shudder to think of such a thing, but all that aside i still think that he should only have one. I have one Girlfriend and i love her more than anything in the world, and it would kill het to have to think that i need 2 let alone 20 women in my life.

If a man can find 20+ women that want to marry him then why not? As long as every woman knows the situation and embraces it then I don't see why its a problem as long as it doesn't conflict with his personal/religious beliefs.

Why would any sane individual want to do that. 20 PMT's, 20 dinners, 20 constant nags, 20 women you have to constantly compliment, 20 divorces. Better off 1 wife and 19 mistresses, then you don't have the responsibilities to them and you can change them as often as you want.

How the Hell can one man keep up with that many wives? He should only have one. If women are only allowed to marry one man, then one man is only allow to have one woman.

Why not? If he can find 20 women who want to marry him, is there any part of the constitution that would disallow it?

Government should have no part in ANY marriage, gay, straight or otherwise. It is part of the "persuit of happiness" garunteed in the constitution.

who would want to, even if it's legal for either sex to marry 20 plus humans? most murderers are in prison for killing their 1 spouse. do you want to increase your odds?

1 is enough hard work, and 0 is even better legally.
