You *can* be tracked online, but is highly unlikely someone is specifically tracking you. Since the HTTP protocol used for most web content is plain text (unless SSL/TLS is used), it is possible to intercept the packets and discover what you are viewing. However, a person would have to specifically target you and try rather hard!
They would not discover any sensitive details even if they were sniffing packets - the best is that they could determine your IP (not difficult) and do a geographic lookup.

If you have spyware on your computer it tracks the websites you go to. Or if someone is lame and bored enough to hack your computer at every instant you are on. Other than that i wouldn't worry about it just get a good spyware blocker and anti virus program.

Otherwise the oonly people who know you're online and where you are are people you talk to on the 'net and yourself.

millions of people surf the net...i don't think there is somebody watching you especially...and no, they(i refer to websites) can't know who are you...they only can find your IP...

depends on what software the operator of the website has, like if you go to mine (which is listed below) I can pull up what city you live in, what country, what internet you are using, what screen settings you have, how long you stayed, and others...
