What are some good brands for laptops...?

DO NOT get a Dell! I have 2 and they suck. I love my Apple, and I heard Alienware is excellent, but expensive.

With laptops I believe the best one will come with best aftersales service.
Apple if you know how to use MacOSX or want to learn
Dell are very good. And to gain better market for gamer they just bought Alienware.
Lenovo (IBM) one of the best brand and always their customer service just have answer to all your problem.
When buying a computer there are no which one better but which one will suit you best

well i just bout the new Dell 1405 laptop and it works great and yes alienware is good but they are way to expensive for the components they have inside, same for VooDoo laptops.... Apple is a really good computer but it apple, but it all depends on what you want like a gaming laptop a laptop for only school(college)...yea

I have two sony laptops they work great. Look for the back -to-school specials in sept, that's when you will get your best deal...Steve

i agree with the above. its the one that fits you the best.
DELL SUCKS. GATEWAY SUCKS.
because i have had it seen it break down after one year.
HP. TOSHIBA. and those SONY VAIOS are cool. perfect for long lasting investments.
cause those things dont come cheap!

alienware is awsome...and it is owned by dell....it depends what you are going to use it for...but dell is good...I tend to like the toshiba's they are freaking sweet...I build custom desktops
