Alcool is a toxic molecule for our organism.
It is forbidden.
Also the ironic idea that russians astronauts drink a lot of vodka is a residue of cold war propaganda.
Every movement and situation in space is studied to have minimun cost and maximum profit.
There is no space and time for jovial persons that like to get drunk...

Depends on which organization they're from. The Russians have a much more lax set of rules, and let their astronauts celebrate special occasions in a more traditional sense.

Technically it is not allowed but I have a funny feeling that *extremely* small amounts (like a sip or two) may have been consumed on very special occasions. Another thing to conside is that alcohol has a greater effect on the human body in micro-gravity.

I don't think you can have any of the many bad habits of most people and be an astronaut. Who knows maybe someone has made some pruno.
