They are like a big coil and you still have to cross them over, but no bow involved. You can get them at City Lights and fairs, but I haven't seen them for a while. They are a novelty. If you look for them--you might see them in the shoe department(a big coil). Velcros flaps are sometimes referred as self-tying shoe laces, but not true. These coils are cute and easy to use and you could not tie them. They are a little hard to get through the holes too.
