nine innings unless they tie, then until a team has a lead at the end of an inning.

Baseball games are 9 innings and the game typically takes 3 hours. However, baseball is one of the few if not only sport that is not timed. This means that a baseball game can take somewhere from 2 hours and something, to 5 hours if not more. It all depends.
Is it a pitching duel? Is every inning just 1-2-3 OR are the innings taking a long time? It all depends on these things. Sometimes the game is tied so they go to extra innings.
There are some games that have been tied up until the 19th inning. Thats the beauty of baseball. Its not over until the last out is recorded. Its unpredictable and anything can happen in baseball.

Baseball games lately take about 3 hours to complete 9 innings. The interesting thing about baseball is that each game has the potential to last forever.

The average baseball game is about three hours long--unless of course the game goes into extra innings.

nine innings or more. Takes about 2 and a half hours to play a game. Some faster and some longer. There is no clock.
