on our journey we came across a couple of tomes. each tome gave us a +5 to one of our attributes. the d/m decided to give me a charisma bonus. how can i use this to my advantage. im a 1 lvl barbarian 2 lvl fighter. and a drow. makes my charisma a 25 dex 20 str. 16 int. 17 wis.16 con 16. let me know im still new to d&d.

Okay, your DM is using some pretty bizarre rules. Usually when you get a stat boost like that, you can't get another one from the same source...those books usually "vanish" or at the very least you can't get the same boost twice from the same thing, they don't "stack" like that.
Second, he probably chose charisma because it doesn't do anything special for your character- this is his idea of a joke, OR he's trying to get you to talk to things more, and hack and slash less.
Charisma helps other classes, maybe you want to multi-class, which will make you advance at a slower rate, but man, with stats like that you can afford to be a level or two behind the group. If you don't want to multiclass into bard or sorcerer or something, then go to "skills" and see which are charisma-based- diplomacy, performance, disguise, gather info- and start working those.

Well, seeing as you're primarily a fighter class it's not much use, apart from being able to give good speeches. Charisma is the main attribute for Sorcerers, Druids and Bards

what kind of whack rules you playin? Attributes only go up to 18.
and giving a barbarian charisma is a waste. Maybe you can change classes.

its funnny im answeing my own question. you can have a attibute above 18. tomes and pluses from races. i already know that being a barbarian/fighter charisma doesnt do much.but it does fit my characters personality. but what good ideas do you have for really using my charisma.
