'Ignorance' is lack of knowledge and 'arrogance' is a feeling of superiority. both are connected upto an extent, but not always in every case. for example,

If a person is arrogant, he doesn't understand the importance of others. He doesn't recognise that every person of a team or family or society is like a cog in a wheel. all are important, either big or small. So, he doesnt know that - means Ignorance.
so, Arrogance is the result of Ignorance in this point of view.

But again, an ignorant person may not be arrogant. its not necessary and also every arrogant person may not be ignorant upto a much extent. So, both are related but only upto certain extent. Hope you got my point. Good luck. Bye

Ignorance is not stupidity, it's just a lack of knowledge and can be corrected....However arrogance is definitely related to stupidity.

to me you have to be ignorant to be arrogant. i think arrogance is mental threatening to be physical, and the only reason for that is lack of intelligence, or lack of education. the arrogant people are smart enough to know they are stupid, and thats the only way they can make their mark.

People who think they are better than others act arrogantly. It could be ignorance but its more likely because they are supercilious snobs.
