I think poetry can be an amazing thing when done well but i cant stand reading bad poetry at all, i think some people need to leave the pen to better hands. I think its a really great way to express what your feeling in an artistic way.

I can't speak for others, but I love it. Poetry is like music, there is a style for every taste. i am pleased to see so many young people are going to poetry slams. Realizing that poetry comes in format they can appreciate will lead some of them to explore other forms, hopefully.

Me personally I love everything about poetry, it lets you put on paper your fears, your likes, dislikes, your hopes and dreams. It gives you a way to express yourself and a lot of people make a lot of money off poetry. Most poetry can be made into a song one way or another. It's just lyrics.

I'm a lyricist myself, so I can fully appreciate good poetry, and I love to come up with original ways to express my thoughts... which is what good poetry is about.

I personally, have the Vogon sense of poetry. Which means I have to be strapped to "Poetry Appreciation Chairs" and try not to puke on my self in spastic agony when exposed to poetry

I think poetry is beautiful. It is definitely worth reading and studying about but who am I kidding, I am after all an English major. It is such a cliche but my favorite poets have to be Poe, Shakespeare, and Whitman.

i think that poetry is a sweet way to express our feeling .. it help anyone to get all his feeling out even if it wasn't in the perfect rhyme .. as long as u feel much better in the end like if u was smelling a new freash air s\coming from an unknown place .. truest me u should try it ..

poetry expresses a persons emotion.
Sometimes it sux but then again that person might not have any talent to begin w/.
Poetry is the window to a persons soul.
