Because the pizza guy stands to lose his job if he doesn't. Shouldn't we make the same kind of regulations for ambulance guys? Because most people who are involved in road accidents are in a hurry. What is the average life expectancy of a pizza guy? Shouldn't the pizza companies be held responsible for the death of a pizza guy in a road accident? Isn't this a sad world when a pizza, a pizza guys livelihood, and your gluttony are all more important that someone lieing in the road bleeding to death after an accident, who is probably a pizza guy? Wow.

There's too many reasons but they are trying to be fast. My husband is a dispatcher for an ambulance company. They really do care and try their hardest. Some reasons can be cross-communication, the need for an ambulance (obviously 911 calls and real emergencies get first choice over less important calls), traffic, location of your home from the nearest source of ambulances, fire stations, etc. The pizza in our neighborhood always takes at least 30 minutes and ambulances come a lot faster than that.

There are more pizza guys you could go to if you didn't get your pizza when you expected. Pizza places are usually closer then hospitals(or wherever the ambulance is coming from). Pizza guys are usually on motorbikes so they can cut corners and stuff. And there is the tip thing, but I never give the pizza guy a tip and he's still here fairly quickly.

Could be a coincidence in conditions. When the sirens are on the ambulance can get there pretty fast, depending on traffic, to truly test this, you would have to call 911 and the pizza place at the same time. Unless you do that, I don't think its safe to claim that the pizza guy arrives faster...I hope this helps!

Depends on where you live. I have had an ambulance here in 2 minutes, but a pizza takes 30

Thats a good question. Probably because the ambulance gets money either way. I remember we called the ambulance and a ride to the hospital was like 500 bucks.

well there are many screwed up answers....

but the real one is because.... pizza guys normally use two wheelers to beat the traffic to get to your place....all they carry is a max of 12" boxes... compared to that the ambulance is a huge life saver box with loads of equipments which has to beat all those traffic before it reaches the spot.
