I LOVE MAC...
mac, well i guess mac is open source, unix-based system, the most stable system that was ever built, has no securtity holes like windows, fool-proof system. if u know enough unix programming you can do wonders with mac.
mac was there GUI based even when microsoft was selling DOS and had no idea about GUI, u know what experts say, "WINDOWS WAS BUILT BY ACCIDENT". there is no designing behind windows and microsoft that had said loads of stuff that they wanted to do with windows longhorn were not able to achieve a single feature that they had to abolish the project, making desktop look nice and making looks nice doesnt make an OS the best OS. Windows Vista went down the drain in seconds when experts discarded it because there was nothing that they desired.
as a matter of fact companies and govts are moving towards apple and linux for OS and open office because they are secure, stable and most important are based on a hardcore design.
u can run windows only on a intel based macs. and i dunno y u feel that the system is slow, but i have 2 windows machines with xp and 1 macbook pro with mac osX, to boot windows xp with all the cool stuff loaded and working takes around 3-4 minutes and mac takes about only 1 minute to boot up with all the stuff loading at startup.
and 1 feature that i like the most about mac, i do not have to look around for device drivers, do not need to restart system on any changes and do not have to use ctrl
+alt+del because i havent seen mac hang in over a yr now.

Apple coputers are much better in a different numbers of ways. 1st part of the mac is unix which means its open source but the other part is closed source just like windows. Other then that Mac is wayy better then Windows becuase you dont get viruses and not that much matinice is needed for it like a windows.
You my friend have just started a flamewar between apple lovers and window lovers there will just be no end.
I mean if windows was opensource I would so totatly get it over a mac beauce it would be open source or mayeb id have both mac and the open sourced windows. BUt i know that MS will nvr reavel the source fo the windows unlike linux or unix

Ain't ya ever heard, 'for convenience ya gotta pay'? nicely, it is genuine. Macs are super for newcomers in the pooter worldwide, however the utility and hardware is gonna fee ya. homestead windows nicely suited computers have extra possibilities in utility because of fact maximum builders write for the homestead windows OS (working equipment) because it is 'open' for use to builders. not so for Macs, I won't bypass into element here. Wanna build yer very own? bypass forward, save some money. purchase a clean one? bypass forward, undergo in techniques for convenience, ya pay.

I've used both and i like both, but for different reasons. I think if i could afford it i would have a mac for work and design and probably a pc for gaming. Ive dealt with just as many macs with problems locking up and such, they arent perfect but they are a great work horse.
