I just sent a letter oversea today using Global Priority Mail. However, I realized that the letter was not neccessary. Can I stop the mail or am I too late? How long does Post Office take to process the mail before it is being mailed out? Thanks.

Under normal circumstances the letter probably left the building within two hours of your having mailed it. About the only thing you could do is use your tracking number and when it shows up in a facility call it and ask the Postmaster to intercept it.

Once mailed, a letter cannot be stopped. Simple as that, really.
