Carbon dioxide, CO2. Released by burning fossil fuels, burning down rainforests, or just breathing. There's just no way to stop emitting this gas. Now, if Bush had joined the Kyoto Protocol in 2001 we wouldn't be so damn hot now would we ?

Could it be methane? No maybe not, probably Carbon Monoxide.
