IUD's are not expensive and they last for a long time. My wife had one for years. She loved it and never got pregnant. The cost was about $300 which isn't too bad considering it lasts for years. The main problem was her bleeding was slightly heavier than it was prior to having it put in. You also need to know that you and your male partner can feel it sometimes, which creates an interesting event! Good Luck

IUD's are more convenient if any than oral contraceptives as you don't have to remember to take it as well as weight gain bloatiness, blood clots and the like . IUD's might caus e infection if left a long time. and at times breaks off. and at times doesn't guarantee from ectopic pregnancies. where the pregnancy occurs in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus causing extensive bleedig and if not treated would cause death. IUD 's might cause bleeding and tears. and if not properly installed might travel. You shouldn't worry about cost as contraception is covered by your health insurance. But between IUD and oral contraceptives, i'll opt for the latter. Also, there's the morning after pill, or the intradermal one. device. or best of all , abstience.
