They don't have pets, they're against the whole "animal enslaving" thing, remember?

I'm a vegetarian and I feed my pets a commercial diet just like the average pet owner does. I don't feel the need to press my diet onto my cats or dog. I wish that the animals killed for their food were killed more humanely, but cats are complete carnivores and do not have as many alternatives as humans do.
I made a choice, but I can survive without meat easier than they can.
Some vegetarians buy animal-free foods for their pets, and that's fine with me too, as long as they monitor their animal to make sure it is still getting the nutrients that it needs. There are more vegetarian dog diets than there are cat ones, as far as I know. This is also because some dogs have a sensitivity or allergy to meat.

Some actually feed their pets, their carnivorous pets, nothing but vegetables. It's very, very unhealthy for the animals and downright reckless. It's somewhat ironic that these people are so blinded by their own moral superiority that in going through the motions to make it look like they care about animals, they're hurting animals in the process.
Not all vegetarians do this, mind you, just ultra-vegans that are more concerned with furthering the illusion that they're animal heroes than actually being one.
yeah, that's my mini-rant.

I just watched a tv show that had a very strict vegan that had a pet cat and she actually made some sort of food for the cat that was vegan as well. I have no idea what it was made of, but the whole family only ate raw food except for the cat and they cooked it's meal.

Assuming you wanted a serious answer, I have a good friend who is vegetarian but not vegan. She has a dog who she treats as a member of her family. She cooks her dogs food on Sunday and serves it to him all week. It consists of rice, wheat and vegetables that are easily digested by dogs. Most of them are. When my dog was overweight, the vet recommended that we feed her vegetables to cut down on the dog food she was eating. They recommends that you not feed dogs onions but all other vegetables are fair game.

My friend is a vegetarian and feeds her dog an all natural diet. It's so weird. She'll buy her the nicest chunks of meat, since the dog is supposidly allergic to wheat. I think she's a closet carnivore myself.

My dogs eat a high quality, balanced, holistic dog food. Their favorite treats however are broccoli, sweet potatoes, carrots and corn on the cob....The perks of having a vegetarian for a mom!

Depends on which pets we have. Dogs can eat vegetarian as well. Cats are more related to bigger carnivores, like lions and tigers, so it's harder for them to be veggie.
