Yesterday at work. I had to call a computer help line and they had me on hold for about 20 minutes. I did hang up because I had to pee, but I called back and was back on hold for about the same time. I didn't hang up because I was at work.. what else would I do?

50 minutes waiting for Microsoft tech support. And hanging up would have meant starting over! BTW - the total time on phone with Microsoft was over 2 hours, but problem was fixed!

I refuse to stay on `hold' but I sometimes put telemarketers on `hold'. I just put the receiver in a drawer and leave it for 10 or 15 minutes; they always hang up. :-D

40 minutes. It was with a hospital's billing department. I just put my phone on speaker and went about doing my chores, then finally someone came on. I was across the room and just picked up in time. Can you believe it - they were about to hang up after a 4 second wait!!!

Two hours with the Office of the Attorney General. I stayed on hold because I was trying to set up direct deposit for child support. Get this...after waiting patiently on hold for two hours, I hear this message, "The Office of the Attorney General is now closed, please call back during regular business hours." And they hung up on me.

3 hours when I was trying to cancel subscription service for Girls Gone Wild that I was illegally enrolled in. They never did come back to the phone. I eventually had to close my entire bank account to stop them from charging my debit card every month.
When you see an ad for a free video on TV, don't call that number. It is a scam!

3 minutes the longest but that didn't matter. It's worst when they don't answer their cellphones after 16 calls. But that's history. It\s just so hard to keep it to yourself when you know the other people had their cellphone with them and does not pick it up because they are with somebody else. :-(
