Kurt Vonnegut wrote what I consider to be a masterpiece of science fiction and social satire, which is nevertheless not spoken about very much these days. It is called The Sirens of Titan.
Without a doubt, this spectacular novel could be made into a fantastic motion picture. It has everything you could want in a great work of art:
Deeply flawed yet sympathetic characters
Uproarious humor
Profound tragedy
Plenty of action
Meditations on man's place in the universe

Is anyone in Hollywood listening?

I'd like to see a new versions of "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Maria Remarque, or "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" by Vicente Blasco Ibanez.

Two very different takes on war, but both are very timely.

I would enjoy watching Stephen King's book "Cell", as a movie. The book was funny and crazy.
