in all actuality...have we ever truly let our mind decide? Of course, the mind points out that something is wrong...so WRONG. we shouldn't be doing this...this will get us into trouble...but the heart holds so much over the mind. If the mind is troubled..things go on..it gets easily distracted and is only brought back to the problem when it wanders. The heart, however, controls your emotions too and a sadness ravages you when you don't please the heart...
so yes. i allow my emotion to control me when it comes to love....because what is the point of love if i have to think about it. Technical things should be thought about...not feelings.

Sometimes I do--its a great ride to allow myself to be swept up in romance and love. I was even engaged once, and I think I was in love with the idea of being in love almost as much as I loved him. But real love is enduring and deeper than our daily emotional roller-coasters. I allow my emotions to influence me, but believe that it is important to make decisions before getting caught up the feeling of the moment. Listen to your heart, but don't shut off your brain.

Love itself is emotion. If you try to control it, there is no meaning in love. If the surroundings are favourable, let emotion play its role. You will enjoy love.

Every time I try using common sense, I could not follow through until I hit rock bottom.
I am completely useless with my emotions when it comes to love.

Expression of love is possible by expression of our emotion if it a real love we can not hide any thing ..real love flourish only in total freedom so ..it better do not control your emotion at least in the case of real love ...

when it comes to being in love or devoted to someone emotions can flow fast and hard and can become uncontrollable, even though we know that it is happening it is so hard to stop once you start. more on love and romance in this article
