You need to visit either an Osteopath, or a Chiropractor.
You may be lucky and find one who works on the NHS, but since they are often regarded as "alternative" it is unlikely.
However, if you have an insurance (BUPA, or BHSF or something) you will be able to claim from that.
Either way, it will probably only take about half an hour, and you will feel that the relief of being able to walk again MORE than justifies the £20 or so that it will cost!

Yeah go to the doctor and get an order for physical therapy I dont know if your state has direct access to be able to go to PT. They will try and reduce your pain and then start exercise. I wouldnt start stretching until the immediate pain is taken care of.

you may have damage a nerve.make an appointment with an osteopath,in the meanwhile an ice pack then a hot pack might help. also see your doctor,he might send you to a PT.
4 years ago I lifted a bag of rubbish and ended up walking with sticks after damaging my spine.so take nothing to chance, get it looked at ASAP.

you have answered your own Q if you are in that much pain.
The Q is have you done permanent damage. whilst i am not a Dr i doubt you have. you have probably twisted your back funny and pulled a muscle. My advice is relax and don't do any jobs etc and go to your Dr's tomorrow to have it checked out.

i think you should get it checked out it could be serious or on the other hand it could not be and if you get it checked at least then you could then put your mind at rest
