New York has the best shopping on the planet (That is not a therory it is a fact) and Boston MA has good shopping as well!

OK, it's not exactly east coast but if you can get to Toronto, Canada, I've heard they have some super primo shopping! Plus, with the exchange rate, your hotel and your new wardrobe will be overwhelmingly affordable! Good luck!
